You already know how this place works.

You spent years in it. The meetings about decisions that were already made. The assistant who decides what reaches the corner office. The coworker who tells the same story at every happy hour.

Your brain runs exactly like that. Same org chart. Same politics. And the belief you have about yourself, the one running your self image, is sitting in the corner office with the door shut.

This guide is the org chart, the reason the old belief will not leave, and the onboarding plan for the new one. Grab a pen. There is a worksheet at the end and I want it filled in, not admired.

Part one · The org chart

Meet the team running your self image.

01

The Boss

Your prediction system

Your brain does not look at your life and then decide what is true. It decides what is true, and then schedules a meeting with your life so everyone feels included.

The decision got made when you were about seven. In a scrunchie. And the boss has been defending it in every meeting since.

The scienceYour brain works on prediction. It builds a model of you and your world, then checks incoming information against it. When something does not match, its first instinct is to explain the mismatch away, not rewrite the model.

02

The Executive Assistant

Your RAS

She screens every call, and she only puts through the ones that agree with the boss.

Someone tells you that you crushed the presentation? Straight to voicemail. One weird look from a stranger in the Target parking lot? Put her right through, and play it on a loop tonight.

The scienceThe reticular activating system sits at the base of your brain and helps decide what gets your attention. Roughly eleven million bits of information hit you every second. You consciously process about fifty. Something is choosing which fifty.

03

The Coworker With One Story

Your default mode network

Clocks in the second you stop doing anything. Shower. Red light. Two in the morning. He has exactly one story about who you are, and he tells it every time like it is brand new.

The scienceThe default mode network is a set of brain regions most active when you are at rest and thinking about yourself. It is the narrator. It does not write new stories. It replays the ones already on file.

04

Facilities

Myelin

Every time a belief fires, facilities comes by and upgrades the road. So your oldest belief about yourself? Heated. Lit. Express lane. No tolls. It is the fastest route in the building, which is exactly why your brain keeps taking it.

The scienceNeurons that fire together wire together. Pathways you use often get wrapped in myelin, a fatty insulation that makes the signal travel faster. Your brain is built to save energy, so it takes the fastest road it has.

Part two · The bad news

There is no delete key. HR cannot fire the old belief. It has tenure.

Old pathways do not get erased. They get outcompeted. Which is why the old belief can still show up on a hard day, like an ex who somehow still has your Netflix password.

The good news: you can hire a new one. And if you give the new hire enough work, the old one gets bored, stops getting called into meetings, and quietly stops showing up.

Part three · What the new hire needs

Three things. Skip one and she quits in week two.

1

Repetition

The new road only gets paved if you drive on it. But this is not thirty flat repetitions in the mirror. Four or five times a week, with real feeling, beats thirty times a day on autopilot.

2

Proof

Your brain does not keep a sentence because it is nice. It keeps it because you handed it evidence. And small counts. A random Wednesday counts. One thing someone said that you have not thought about since absolutely counts.

3

Emotion

The one everybody skips, and the one that matters most. Emotion is the save button. It is how your brain knows something mattered enough to keep. Say a sentence flat thirty times and your brain goes, cute, and does not save it.

Part four · Why affirmations got you nowhere

Affirmation versus ingredient.

You stand in the mirror and say I am wealthy with forty two dollars in checking. The gap between that sentence and your actual evidence is so wide your brain files it as noise and throws it out. Your brain, basically: ma'am.

It was never a motivation problem. It got rejected at the door. An affirmation is a sentence. An ingredient is a sentence that embodies a new identity, and it is specific, about you, and provable. Provable is the whole thing, because proof is how it gets hired.

Affirmation

I am confident.

Ingredient

I am an incredible communicator, and my style is valued by the people I work with.

Affirmation

I am wealthy.

Ingredient

I am a person who grows wealth. I grow more and more money every single day.

Affirmation

I love my body.

Ingredient

Every choice I have ever made has been one hundred percent perfect for me, because it brought me these moments.

Notice the ingredient on the right is something your brain can go find evidence for today. That is not a small detail. That is the entire difference.

Part five · My favorite part

Edit mode.

When you actually feel an old belief, not think about it, feel it, that belief becomes changeable for a little while before it locks back down. Like a Google Doc somebody finally unlocked.

Scientists call it memory reconsolidation. When a memory is recalled with its feeling, it becomes temporarily open to being updated before it stabilizes again.

This is why thinking about your belief does almost nothing and feeling it does a lot. The feeling is not the woo part. The feeling is the window. And while the doc is open, you get to hand it something new.

Part six · Onboarding

Your first week with the new hire.

One belief. Not five. Try to onboard five at once and you will finish none of them.

  1. Name what the boss is running.

Write the old belief exactly the way it sounds in your head. Not the polite version. I am too much. I have to earn rest. Nobody takes me seriously.

  2. Write the new hire.

Flip it into an ingredient. Specific, about you, provable. Read it out loud. If your brain says ma'am, make it smaller and truer until it does not.

  3. Find three proofs.

Three real moments where the ingredient was already true. Small is fine. If you cannot find one, go make one this week. Five seconds of it counts.

  4. Open the window.

Bring up one moment where the old belief stung. Let yourself feel it for about ten seconds. Not to wallow. Just enough to unlock the doc.

  5. Hand it the new hire.

While it is open, say your ingredient out loud. Pull up one of your proofs. Hand on your chest. Let your body respond, even a tiny bit. Then imagine sending that feeling out around you, like you are broadcasting it.

  6. Brief the assistant every night.

Write down one thing from today that agreed with the new hire. You are retraining which calls get put through. By day four she starts looking for them on her own.

  7. Repeat four or five times this week.

With real feeling every time. That is the whole schedule. Consistency beats intensity. Your brain moves on the feeling you return to most, not the loudest one you ever had.

If the old belief is tied to something heavy, a trauma or a memory that floods you, do the window step with a therapist or practitioner you trust. This work sits alongside real support. It never replaces it.

Part seven · The worksheet

Fill it in. Do not admire it.

01 · The old belief

What is the boss running? Exactly how it sounds in your head.

02 · Where it came from

When was this decided? Who was in the room?

03 · The new hire

Your ingredient. Specific, about you, provable.

04 · Three proofs

Three moments it was already true.

05 · The assistant's log

One thing each day that agreed with the new hire.

Come join us inside The Unstoppable You Community.

I built this place because I wanted somewhere we could actually get off of Instagram. Somewhere the conversation goes deeper than a comment thread, where you can ask the real question, say the thing out loud, and have women who get it answer you properly.

Every week I teach live in there, free. The mechanics, the decodes, and the parts of this work that are so much easier to feel in a room than to read on a page. Then we talk about it. That is the whole point.

Bring your worksheet. Bring the belief you are trying to retire. Come take this to the next level with us.
